I am married to Nik and we have one beautiful daughter called Ebba born 3/09/06. I was interested in pregnancy and birth years before I embarked on parenthood. This interest has stayed with me ever since. I particularly understand how important it is to create a good birthing environment (wherever that may be) which includes the physical and psychological aspects of birthing and how they can be affected positively or negatively. I tailor the support I give precisely to my client’s needs and wishes, in a non-judgemental approach. So the birthing environment and continual support can make a positive difference in the birthing of their precious baby, the memories of which, will last a lifetime. I have great empathy with other women, but particularly for pregnant women who may be fearful of birth and of what they and their bodies are capable of. I will help my clients to feel confident in their bodies’ ability to birth effectively, however I will support them and their partners in whatever route they may choose.
My daughter’s time in my womb and her birth were enhanced greatly by the use of HypnoBirthing, which is something I intend to offer fully at a later date. At present, I use homeopathy, appropriate essential oils and HypnoBirthing techniques as an aid to relaxation during birthing. I believe the right doula for you is the person youfeel you can create a bond with and trust to support you and your partner throughout your birthing.
Birth Doula Package: 2 birth preparation meetings + 1 post natal visit, on call 24 hours a day for 2 weeks either side of your due date.

Postnatal Doula Price: I charge £10 per hour +travel expenses. The support needed is to be decided between clients and myself.
