I have over 15 years of professional childcare experience. I have taken parts one and two of a makaton course and I have experience of working with children that have special needs.

I have completed my doula training through Nurturing Birth and I am now a trainee doula and I will be until I have attended 4 births and worked with 4 families during the postnatal period.

Having a good maternity background enables me to be an ideal Doula. I am flexible and will stay with you for as long as you need me to. I am available to support not only the mums to be and new mums but also your partner and of course any other siblings within your family.

I am happy do as much or as little as you need during the Pregnancy, Birth and Postnatal periods and am available by email, phone and of course in person. I have a friendly, sympathetic ear and I am available at the end of the phone for advice and reassurance. As a mother of 3 and a nanny with so much experience, I understand and can sympathise with you and your children at what can be a very demanding time

I am a caring, confident person who is sympathetic to the needs of children and their family. I am hard working, trustworthy and conscientious in my work. Having worked with various age groups and at different levels of caring, I am able to provide families with a happy, secure environment for the benefit of all.

I have a current CRB check and hold public liability insurance.

I am a Trainee Birth and postnatal Doula. My philosophy is that this is your birth experience and your baby. I am there to guide you and, through informed choices, to support you physically and emotionally.

I will see you twice during your pregnancy, I will also naturally attend the birth, staying as long as you need me to, and then see you for one post natal visit.

During the birth I will be there to give you all the emotional and practical support that you require. I am not however medically trained and therefore I cannot give medical advice. I will stay with you for as long as you need me to.

The last visit in this birth package is a post natal visit. This is your chance to discuss any worries or concerns with me and to make sure that everything is going well.

All of this is in addition to any email and telephone support that you require.
I am there to emotionally and practically support you with your new baby/babies.

For all new mums, I can help with older children, do light housework and help with food shopping and for first time mums in particular, I can offer support with feeding, routines, bathing etc.

I am happy to do either days or nights or a mixture of both.
